- SIMPLE APPLICATION - Just use a standard paint roller or spray equipment to quickly and easily waterproof your skylights while still allowing natural light into the building. Apply Silicone Skylight Sealer in one pass, wait 4 hours while the skylight sealer cures, and then coat the field of the roof. Average application rate is 1 gallon per 45 square feet over skylights, 1 gallon per 55 square feet over regular roof surfaces.
