• This is a collection grade koto instrument, top of the line model, made from well-respected Japanese instrument maker Mishimaya. The whole wood piece is carved out from paulownia body with seamless connection to the bottom board. The front and tail are detail decorated using Indian rosewood wood. Please take a look at the superb wood grains of this soundboard. There are hand carved sound grooves in ayasugi (herringbone)style underneath the soundboard to enhance the sound quality. (see the picture below) The strings are strung tight and ready for set up.
